Six workers die as portion of building collapses near Ooty

UDHAGAMANDALAM: At least six workers died when a portion of an old building collapsed in Lovedale near Ooty in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.
Around 13 workers were involved in renovating the building. They were engaged in earth work when a portion of the building collapsed, trapping them under the debris.
Fire and rescue services personnel and police rushed to the spot.Police said bodies of six woman workers were recovered. Four workers were rescued and sent to Ooty government hospital.
